The New Age Spa Institute Esthetics Certification Program
Our Esthetician Program is one of the best of it’s kind in the country. We are a Bioelements Partner school and use the Bioelements product line in our demonstrations, instructions, and practice. Bioelements is a professional product line based on extensive research. Bioelement’s formulas have pioneered new standards for product performance.
The Esthetic program is a total of 750 hours and may be completed in 6 months for a full time student or 9-12 months for a part time student.
From the beginning our students receive personalized attention in small, friendly classes. They begin with in depth theory, practical hands-on experience, and home studies. After several months they begin working on the clients from the outside in our professional skin care clinic to gain immeasurable practical work experience.
Our students also receive intensive training in the following:
Once you have obtained your Diploma in Esthetics there are many exciting career opportunities available including:
An esthetics curriculum includes a program consisting of 750 clock hours of instruction. Our highly trained certified instructors are offering a cutting edge certification program.
After receiving a diploma from The New Age Spa Institute and passing the State Board of Cosmetology written examination, you will be qualified to pursue many different occupations as an Esthetician.
Our classes are small, relaxed and friendly. Competency is assessed by a combination of practical learning tasks, both in the classroom and in the work environment and the theory assessment at the end of each unit. This reduces pressure of a large examination at the end of the course, and also enables us to pinpoint any areas of difficulty during the course rather than at the end. Assessment is the integral part of the overall course.
The New Age Spa Institute delivers training and assessment using the principles of competency based training. This means that student’s performance is assessed on their ability to perform the tasks based on the industry standards. To ensure that we cater for a variety of learning styles and students’ needs, a range of assessment strategies are included such as: practical demonstration of skills, short written tests and exercises, observation of processes, research assignments, oral questioning, and student workbooks.
One of the problems often facing newly qualified Estheticians is that Employers ask for “work experience”.
For this reason The New Age Spa Institute opened a Student Clinic, where all treatments are performed by students and the students here run the salon under the guidance of theirs teacher and workplace trainer and assessor.
Students gain valuable experience not only in treatments, but also in all aspects of salon operations. The spa is run by a qualified Trainer and Assessor who records students progress on a weekly basis. Written and oral reports are given to class teachers on any areas students need help or improvement.
At the completion of this work experience program, students become valuable employees, having practiced their competency learned in class regularly, in real working salon.
Our tuition includes all supplies, books and workbooks and any materials supporting the esthetics study course.
Additionally our graduates are certified and receive five extra diplomas in the following advance education subjects:
The Beauty Therapy Training Package requires students to study a total of multiple units of competence for the Diploma of Esthetics.
